Thanks, you are the best!

Uh oh. Try again.

About Molly Flanagan Photography

I LOVE to take pictures.  For real.  The only thing that could possibly be better than spending the day behind my camera would be cleaning the entire house top to bottom (with no children), taking a long nap, and then going out for Indian food with my husband.  I shoot with a Canon 5d Mark II and a 24-70mm lens, and sometimes a 50mm f/1.4.

While taking pictures is a complete joy, the editing process is the icing on the cake!  All of my images are individually tweaked using Photoshop.  I feel like the images take on a life of their own during the editing process and the journey fascinates me every time.

I am a natural light photographer.  I prefer a fine art style with casual posing.  I want what I capture to be real and to convey an honest message.  While shooting, I try to be as unobtrusive as possible, capturing natural moments as they occur and portraying them in an artistic manner, rather than lots of posed "smile at the camera" shots.

Oh, and other than loving a clean house and Indian food, I live in a exotic & magical paradise called, "The Upstate of South Carolina".  I have two small children that are totally insane yet snuggly and the best husband money can buy (I've looked on eBay, he's one of a kind).  I drink way too much coffee.  I love Jesus.  I believe the Lord has given me photography as a passion and every time I pick up my camera I thank him for allowing me to use it!  To him be the glory!

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

heels

So, I borrowed these shoes from a friend and this morning Ruby found them in my room. She brought them to me and asked me to help her put them on. Actually she just held them up and said, “flip-flops?” Knowing it would be a good photo-op I told her to wait...

Ruby gets glasses

Well, we found out a couple of weeks ago that sweet Ruby needs glasses. She has accommodative esotropia, which is a form of strabismus. When she tries to focus on something she has to strain which causes one of her eyes to turn in. She doesn’t have blurred vision, but apparently she...

Avery at 8 months | Seneca, SC

The last time I photographed this gorgeous little girl she was only 4 months old. Avery was on the verge of sitting on her own, but now at 8 months she is crawling, pulling up, and breaks out in the biggest smile every time her daddy clucks like a chicken. She was so...

The Fruit of Her Hands | Greer, SC | Lifestyle Photographer

Several months ago Nikki asked me about taking some pictures of her kids playing around the house. Nikki wanted to wait until her daughter was crawling, so the day Marseille took her first scoot she let me know! However, life got in the way and we kept postponing our session. Now (actually...

blackberry cobbler | seneca, sc | lifestyle photographer

It usually takes a few days for me to blog a session. However, I have a case of the Monday’s and decided to spend nap-time editing instead of doing my normal motherly duties. If you see my husband, be sure to tell him how great these pictures are so he will understand why...

and they lived happily ever after… | anderson, sc | lifestyle photographer

I seriously didn’t stop smiling the whole time I hung out with this family! We tried to delay the inevitable July heat by starting out the session spending some time inside. I loved getting to see the kids rooms and have them show me their favorite things. Going into grades 1st, 7th...

I am so excited to share some images from Jake & Katrinka’s wedding! The ceremony was at the Rock Quarry Garden and reception at Brick Street Cafe in Greenville’s West End. Everything was gorgeous. I must admit, I was having a hard time focusing on my job because I kept catching glimpses...

caution: wedding pictures coming soon

I had so much fun shooting Jake & Katrinka’s wedding this past weekend and can’t wait to start editing them! Unfortunately, my children don’t seem to share my enthusiasm. Already today we’ve had bee stings (which included a discussion on why NOT to hold a yellow jacket), blue crayons stuck in an ear (which included...
