Thanks, you are the best!

Uh oh. Try again.

About Molly Flanagan Photography

I LOVE to take pictures.  For real.  The only thing that could possibly be better than spending the day behind my camera would be cleaning the entire house top to bottom (with no children), taking a long nap, and then going out for Indian food with my husband.  I shoot with a Canon 5d Mark II and a 24-70mm lens, and sometimes a 50mm f/1.4.

While taking pictures is a complete joy, the editing process is the icing on the cake!  All of my images are individually tweaked using Photoshop.  I feel like the images take on a life of their own during the editing process and the journey fascinates me every time.

I am a natural light photographer.  I prefer a fine art style with casual posing.  I want what I capture to be real and to convey an honest message.  While shooting, I try to be as unobtrusive as possible, capturing natural moments as they occur and portraying them in an artistic manner, rather than lots of posed "smile at the camera" shots.

Oh, and other than loving a clean house and Indian food, I live in a exotic & magical paradise called, "The Upstate of South Carolina".  I have two small children that are totally insane yet snuggly and the best husband money can buy (I've looked on eBay, he's one of a kind).  I drink way too much coffee.  I love Jesus.  I believe the Lord has given me photography as a passion and every time I pick up my camera I thank him for allowing me to use it!  To him be the glory!

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

date night

C and I had our first Mommy+Son date night this weekend. We started off the evening picking out flowers at the grocery store. C wore one on the lapel of his “prince outfit” (a.k.a corduroy jacket). Next, we went to our favorite Chinese restaurant. C got his very own adult sized cup of sweet tea. About 5 sips into dinner he was bouncing off the walls! After our meal we walked around the video store, finally settling on the new Ice Age movie (which, by the way, had way to much innuendo for my liking). C chose McDonald’s ice cream for dessert. Then back to our house to stay up late watching our movie. I’d say it was a pretty successful evening. I can’t wait to do it again!
