It was such a joy to spend a couple of hours with this sweet family. Their 11 day old daughter was so delicate and precious. I love her face in the second one. The last one with dad is my favorite.

I LOVE to take pictures. For real. The only thing that could possibly be better than spending the day behind my camera would be cleaning the entire house top to bottom (with no children), taking a long nap, and then going out for Indian food with my husband. I shoot with a Canon 5d Mark II and a 24-70mm lens, and sometimes a 50mm f/1.4.
While taking pictures is a complete joy, the editing process is the icing on the cake! All of my images are individually tweaked using Photoshop. I feel like the images take on a life of their own during the editing process and the journey fascinates me every time.
I am a natural light photographer. I prefer a fine art style with casual posing. I want what I capture to be real and to convey an honest message. While shooting, I try to be as unobtrusive as possible, capturing natural moments as they occur and portraying them in an artistic manner, rather than lots of posed "smile at the camera" shots.
Oh, and other than loving a clean house and Indian food, I live in a exotic & magical paradise called, "The Upstate of South Carolina". I have two small children that are totally insane yet snuggly and the best husband money can buy (I've looked on eBay, he's one of a kind). I drink way too much coffee. I love Jesus. I believe the Lord has given me photography as a passion and every time I pick up my camera I thank him for allowing me to use it! To him be the glory!
Thanks for stopping by my blog!

February 23, 2010 - 5:49 pm - They look like a sweet family! And that baby...oh my goodness how sweet! I'm getting all kinds of mushy because Maya will be one on March 6th...I'm super sappy about it. Anyway, these are great Molly! They will be so pleased!

February 24, 2010 - 8:58 am - Lexington looks just like her #1 Aunt Sharon, precious, precious, precious ! Or should I say, blessings, blessings, blessings to your family.
February 24, 2010 - 10:04 am - Matt and Mindy: What a great surprise! You look very happy as expected of course. My wife is pregnant and my baby girl will be born the first week of April. In some point of time our daughters will play together, let's make it happen, either in Chichenitza or in the Bluegrass. Congratulations.
February 24, 2010 - 11:36 am - Dearest Matt and Mindy.... The new life brought forth from the 2 of you is beautiful. I can tell you as an experienced father that this child will represent all that you place within her over the coming years. She is a "blank tape" ready to have recorded within her heart all of your dreams, desires, aspirations, and goals for her well being and success. Plan your ways carefully over the course of your life. Our love and prayers are over your family. Love, Uncle John and Aunt Janis
February 24, 2010 - 2:15 pm - Wow! I'm not sure which girl is the prettiest or most precious. Those pictures are priceless and it is clear to all who view them that your family oozes love for one another. Cherish every moment...even the ones that try your nerves (and there will be many of those) because time goes way too fast, especially with a child in the home. Raise her according to God's wishes and spoil her with love and kisses.
February 26, 2010 - 6:08 am - Very Sweet Molly! You did a great job. Love the sweet headband. Glad it came in on time! =)
March 3, 2010 - 9:33 pm - Oh, what a wonderful job with this tiny, sweet baby! Gorgeous light captured and the processing rocks...well, you rock!
